Standard Ten: Partnerships - The teacher interacts in a professional, effective manner with colleagues, parents, and other members of the community to support students' learning and well being.
Standard ten, partnership, is a standard that relates to your students and to those around you. I have not only the ability to make a strong connection to my students, but my fellow staff members as well. Without being able to connect with others, I wouldn't be a successful teacher. I always loved interacting with others and within the school community, but also supporting my students outside the school community.

- When I was teaching at Van Buren Elementary and Discovery Elementary the students and I had a wonderful connection. After it was time for me to leave the class, the students left me notes to say goodbye. I saw these students improve over the time I was there and was able to see them develop into wonderful members of society. I had a great connection with these students. They have inspired me to be the best teacher that I can be for all my future students.

- I am not only able to relate to my students, I am able to create a personal connection with other teachers. Mrs. Kramer from Vallivue Middle School wrote my professor a letter stating that I have been such a great help in her classroom and have represented the College of Idaho well. Being able to make this connection with other teachers and the students is a wonderful skill, but for Mrs. Kramer to state how professional at creating that partnership with her and her students was a success for me.
Jump Rope for Heart
- In my fourth grade classroom, I had nine students who were chosen to compete in a jump rope competition that included students from all over the Meridian School District. I wanted to be able to support my students in any activity that they have chosen to do. I didn't tell the students that I would be there, and when I got there, the students were so excited that I came to support them. I watched all the students compete in their competition and showed them that I am always there for them no matter what endeavors they want to achieve.
